Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Active Night Care

Night Care with Lactic Acid for impure skin

Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Active Night Care improves skin complexion by unclogging and purifying pores overnight.

Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Active Night Care is a highly effective oil-free formula containing Lactic Acid. Its follicle targeting system delivers Lactic Acid continuously throughout the night, opening the comedones and supporting the skin’s own regeneration. Applied every evening, it visibly reduces blemishes in three weeks, resulting in an even complexion during the day. Suitable for use with common acne medication.

CLINICAL STUDIES

A placebo-controlled study, on 90 16-46 year old male and female patients with acne vulgaris, was conducted over three-months. Another treatment programme with 1033 patients with acne vulgaris took part in Germany, Austria, Belgium and Thailand.
Both studies were to establish the efficacy of Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Cleanser, Toner and Night Care.

MAIN FINDINGS

  • Clinical and dermatological studies prove excellent skin tolerability and efficacy on patients with impure and acne-prone skin.
  • The reduction of non-inflammatory lesions and papules was highly significant in all treatment groups.
  • Assessment of the disability index revealed that the subjective wellbeing of the subjects increased significantly.
  • The Eucerin products proved to be very well tolerated by nearly all patients.
  • The typical acne symptoms clearly improved.
  • The assessment of the efficacy and safety by the patients and doctors was for most patients "good" or "very good."

Frequently asked questions

Is acne caused by poor hygiene?

Acne is not a sign of poor bodily hygiene. On the contrary: too frequent cleansing of the skin with aggressive cleansing products can irritate the skin even more. Nevertheless, you should take care to cleanse your skin twice daily with a mild, nondehydrating facial cleanser in order to remove excess sebum, sweat and dead skin cells from the skin. One should, in any case, avoid "fiddling around" with your fingers on the acne symptoms.

Is acne an allergy?

Acne is not an allergic reaction to particular foods or external stimulation. Allergies manifest themselves characteristically in different ways and can thus be clearly identified as such.

Will my acne clear up on its own as I grow older?

Usually the acne symptoms get better with increasing age once you are past puberty.  Although, some patients suffer from acne also after the age of 30. If you do not see an improvement, please contact a dermatologist.

Should I avoid dairy products when I have acne?

Yes. It has been known for quite some time that a diet too rich in carbohydrates (lots of sugar and white flour) as well as excessive consumption of cow's milk can aggravate acne. That's why it is important to consider your diet, especially when experiencing therapy-resistant symptoms during acne treatment.

Is acne inherited?

Yes. Genetic predisposition plays a large part in acne. If both parents suffered from acne during their adolescence, then there is a greater likelihood that their children will also develop acne.

Is acne a result of poor nutrition?

Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Skin care for impure skin

Eucerin DermoPURIFYER is a range of effective dermo cosmetic solutions for impure skin. Its ingredient combination addresses the four key factors of impure skin: hyperkeratosis (disrupted skin cell shedding), seborrhea (increased sebum production), microbial colonisation (increased bacteria proliferation) and inflammation of the skin. Eucerin DermoPURIFYER products have been proven in clinical and dermatological studies to be both effective and very good for skin tolerability.
