Melanin is a natural pigment that gives color to skin. Exposure to sunlight, hormonal influences and aging can cause an increase in melanin production and trigger hyperpigmentation. Hyperpigmentation appears as dark patches and age spots (also known as sun spots) that make skin look uneven.
Eucerin Spotless Brightening Double Booster Serum brings together two serums that work in different ways:
- Thiamidol: an effective and patented ingredient that acts at the root cause of hyperpigmentation is clinically proven to reduce hyperpigmentation, preventing its re-appearance with regular usage
- Concentrated Hyaluronic Acid: one of skin’s most effective moisturizing substances helps skin to attract and retain moisture
The light emulsion is clinically and dermatologically proven to reduce dark spots and prevent their re-appearance while renewing skin’s look. First results are visible after two weeks and improve continuously with regular use. Skin is smooth and looks renewed, even and radiant.
Main findings
Among other clinical and dermatological studies, a Product in Use (PIU) study was conducted with 120 women aged between 25 and 55. They reported the following results after four weeks of regular use:

Can I use both Eucerin Ultrawhite Spotless Double Booster Serum and Eucerin Ultrawhite Spotless Spot Corrector at the same time?
Yes, you can. Eucerin Ultrawhite Spotless Double Booster Serum is effective at boosting the results of the Anti-Pigment day and night creams on your whole face, neck and décolleté. Eucerin Ultrawhite Spotless Spot Corrector has been specially formulated to fade individual, smaller areas of concern. The two products work well together but you should only use a maximum of four applications of products containing Thiamidol per day.
You could use one in the morning followed by Eucerin Ultrawhite Spotless Day Fluid and the other in the evening followed by Eucerin Ultrawhite Spotless Night Fluid, or you could use both at the same time followed by the appropriate day or night cream. If you apply both together, use the serum first, then the spot corrector followed by the appropriate care product.
Can I use Eucerin Ultrawhite Spotless Double Booster Serum instead of a moisturizer?
Eucerin Ultrawhite Spotless Double Booster Serum contains concentrated Hyaluronic Acid which improves skin moisturization. It has been formulated to boost the effectiveness of our pigment-reducing moisturizers. For best results we recommend that you use it in combination with other products in the Eucerin Ultrawhite Spotless Range.
Eucerin Ultrawhite Spotless Double Booster Serum does not protect skin from the sun. As the sun’s rays are a key contributor to hyperpigmentation it’s important to wear an appropriate sun protection product, even on cloudy days. We recommend that, if you apply Eucerin Ultrawhite Spotless Double Booster serum in the morning, you follow it with Eucerin Ultrawhite Spotless Day Fluid to help fade existing acne marks and protect skin from the sun, thereby reducing further sun-induced pigmentation issues. For intense sun exposure choose a higher protection factor from the Eucerin sun protection range.
