Very dry, sensitive skin is easily irritated by environmental triggers, making it even more sensitive. It requires more than a gentle moisturizer to become less sensitive.

Rich but gentle, Eucerin pH5 Rich Lotion F has been specially formulated to provide intense hydration for very dry, sensitive body skin and make it more resilient and less sensitive. The unique Eucerin pH Balance System contains pH5 Citrate Buffer to restore and support skin’s optimal pH. The formula also includes Dexpanthenol, an active ingredient known for its regenerative properties.

Use daily for soft, smooth skin. Eucerin pH5 Rich Lotion F is suitable for daily use on skin prone to type 1 allergies (e.g. hay fever) and for children of three years and older.

Clinical and dermatological studies

Clinical and dermatological studies prove very good efficacy and skin tolerability for dry, sensitive skin.

Main Findings

In addition to other clinical and dermatological studies, a Product-in-Use (PiU) study was conducted with 164 women with sensitive skin aged between 30 and 75.1

What is Panthenol/Dexpanthenol?

Panthenol and Dexpanthenol are two names commonly used for the same ingredient. Panthenol converts into Pantothenic Acid (a B Complex Vitamin) in the skin and enhances skin regeneration and repair. When applied regularly, it has been proven to considerably improve symptoms of skin irritation such as dryness, roughness, scaling and redness.

Panthenol/Dexpanthenol is also an effective moisturizer. It improves hydration in the outermost layers of the skin and helps to reduce transepidermal water loss.

Glycerin

Glycerin – sometimes spelt `Glycerine` and also known as Glycerol – is a humectant which means it helps attract water and keep it in the skin. It is a very effective moisturizer that smooths dry skin and gives it long-lasting moisturization and care. It is both colorless and odorless.

pH5 Citrate Buffer

Skin’s surface is covered by a protective acid mantle which gives it a mildly acidic pH. This pH plays an important role in skin condition and is key to skin’s protective barrier. It neutralizes alkaline-based aggressors (such as harsh surfactants), supports the essential process of shedding dead skin cells (known as desquamation) and creates the optimal environment in which skin’s natural flora can thrive.

When skin’s pH alters its barrier function is compromised. Water loss increases and skin dries out making it more susceptible to external irritants and sensitivity.

The Eucerin pH Balance System contains pH5 Citrate Buffer to restore and support skin’s optimal pH. This helps to strengthen skin’s barrier function, protect its natural defences and make skin less sensitive.
