Cleansing Gel for acne-prone skin
Soap- and fragrance-free, Eucerin ProACNE Solution Cleansing Gel is an acne cleanser with non-comedogenic daily face wash for acne-prone skin. With 6% Ampho-Tensides, it cleanses skin gently but effectively removing dirt, make-up and any excess sebum. Thanks to its antibacterial properties, the gel eliminates skin bacteria and prevents bacterial growth.
The acne cleansing gel can be used alongside medical acne treatment and during pregnancy.
How to Use
Use the cleansing gel as a first step in your skin care routine - preferably twice daily:morning and evening
Use a cherry-sized amount and work it into a lather in your hand with a little water

Cleanse and tone

Care
The care product you use depends on the severity of your acne and on the type of treatment you are undergoing. If you have mild to moderate acne, but are not undergoing medical acne treatment, use a soothing and mattifying moisturiser such as Eucerin ProACNE Solution A.I. Matt Fluid in the morning and evening.
Sun protection
Sun protection is an important step in your morning routine. Blemishes can cause pigmentation issues if over-exposed to the sun, and acne medications can make blemish-prone skin even more sensitive to UV rays. If you’re applying sun protection after a topical acne treatment wait five minutes to allow the treatment to fully absorb.
Concealer and make-up
Cover blemishes and even out skin tone with foundation and/or a concealer. Choose products that are non-comedogenic (i.e. that will not block pores) and, ideally, ones that contain ingredients that work to improve the condition of blemish-prone skin. Be sure to remove all make-up before you go to bed.

Can I use the cleansing gel with an electric cleansing brush?
Yes, of course, but be very careful cleaning your skin in this way if you are undergoing medical acne therapy.
Is acne caused by having dirty skin?
This is a common myth but it’s not true. It is, however, important to choose products that have been specially formulated for blemish- and acne-prone skin – mild but effective cleansing gels are much more suitable than harsh soap-based alternatives.
My skin feels tight after cleansing. Is that normal?
Tightness can be a sign of dry skin. If your skin feels tight be sure to thoroughly moisturise after cleansing. Consider using one of the moisturisers in the Eucerin DERMOPURE range.
I’ve used Eucerin DermoPurifyer Cleansing Gel in the past. What is the difference between that and Eucerin DERMOPURE Cleansing Gel?
Nothing. It’s just a new name and new packaging. The formula is proven to be highly effective and needed no changes.
