If I’m already using the Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler + Elasticity Day and Night creams why do I need a facial oil?

As we get older, our skin gets dryer. Facial oils are particularly nourishing for dry and mature skin and many of our customers enjoy the added benefits they bring. Several of the key ingredients in Eucerin Elasticity + Filler Facial Oil are different to those in the day and night creams. It contains Milk Thistle Oil, Vitamin E and – like the night cream – Argan Oil. The nourishing formula of the Facial Oil improves elasticity, makes skin feel firmer, improves its natural resilience and smooths its surface. It also leaves skin with a satin-like finish which appeals to many of our users.

When and how do I use the facial oil?

You can use Eucerin Elasticity + Filler Facial Oil up to twice a day – either in the morning, or the evening, or both. Apply it either before or after your appropriate skin care product. Or, if you prefer, mix the oil into the care product in the palm of your hand and apply both together.

Can I use the Eucerin Elasticity + Filler Facial Oil alone without the daily care products?

Yes, of course, if you find that that is what works best for your skin, but the Day and Night creams contain formulas that have been proven to plump up deep wrinkles and improve skin’s elasticity. The oil does not include Arctiin (proven to accelerate collagen renewal in skin cells) or Silymarin (a powerful antioxidant which protects collagen and elastin from oxidative stress and accelerates micro circulation in skin cells). It also doesn’t have the benefits of high and low molecular Hyaluronic Acid (which work both on the surface and in the deeper layers of the epidermis for a more targeted and visible plumping of deep wrinkles).

 

If you do choose to use the oil alone, and in the day time, please remember that – unlike the Day product – it does not contain an SPF or UVA filter so you will need to apply a sun protection product.
